Nation stats and game times

Two bot commands show the server's game stats: how often nations are banned and picked, and when games start. Anyone on the server can use either one, and by default only you see the reply.

Nation stats

The /nations stats command shows how many times each nation was banned and picked in this server's games. Every option can be left out:

Option What it sets What happens without it
period Which time span to count games for Last 30 days
status status:finished — finished games, status:active — games in the “In progress” state Finished games
private private:False shows the reply to everyone in the channel Only you see the reply

The period is counted back from the moment you run the command, and a game counts by its start time:

Period Which games count
period:week Games that started in the last 7 days
period:month In the last 30 days
period:season In the last 90 days
period:year In the last 365 days
period:all All of the server's games

The period:season value isn't tied to the rating season: it is always the last 90 days. See Seasons.

/nations stats period:week status:active

What nation stats show

The bot sends a card titled “Nation Statistics” with two icons. The first icon marks the period: 📅 for period:week and period:month, 🌸 for period:season, 📊 for period:year, 🕙 for period:all. The second marks the state of the games: ✅ for status:finished, ⚔️ for status:active.

The “Period:” line shows the first and last date of the period, and with period:all it shows “All time”. The “Status:” line shows “finished” or “active”, as in the status option.

Below them are two columns:

  • “🚫 BANS” — how many times the nation was banned;
  • “✅ PICKS” — how many times the nation was picked to play.

Each row has the nation's name in the server's main language, its icon and a number. Nations go from the most frequent to the rarest. Each column shows only the nations that got into it at least once in the selected period. The bot continues a long list on the following cards, 20 nations per column.

The bot shows the rest of the card's text in English. See Bot language.

Which games get into nation stats

The stats count only games on this server that started. Bans in a gathering that never started aren't counted. Three more conditions apply:

  • At least 3 different players placed bans in the game. Otherwise the game gets into neither “🚫 BANS” nor “✅ PICKS”. That's why Duel games, which have only 2 players, aren't in the stats. See Bans.
  • Scrapped games aren't counted. They are left out with both status:finished and status:active.
  • In a game in progress, only picked nations count. A player who hasn't picked a nation yet adds nothing to “✅ PICKS”. See Picking nations and swapping slots.

Game times

The /gametime command draws a heat map of the days of the week and hours when games start on the server. Every option can be left out:

Option What it sets What happens without it
timezone The map's time zone; you pick it from the suggestions Kyiv time
is_private is_private:False shows the map to everyone in the channel Only you see the map
force_update force_update:True recalculates the games right away The numbers update no more than once an hour

Start typing a city name in English in timezone. Discord shows up to 25 matching time zones, for example “Europe/Berlin”. Discord shows the descriptions of the command and its options in Russian.

/gametime timezone:Europe/Berlin is_private:False

What the time map shows

The bot sends an image titled “Распределение времени создания игры” with the time zone's name in parentheses. Despite the word “создания”, the map counts games by their start time.

Part of the map What it shows
Columns Days of the week from “Понедельник” to “Воскресенье”
Rows Two-hour slots from “00:00-02:00” to “22:00-24:00”
Cells A number and a color on the “Количество игр” scale: the bigger the number, the darker the cell
Black frame The current day and slot in the selected time zone
Caption at the bottom “Часовой пояс:” with the time zone's name and its offset from UTC

The map ignores a game's state: finished, scrapped and still-running games all count the same. Gatherings that never started don't get on the map.

How often the map updates

The bot counts games for the map no more than once an hour, and these numbers are shared by everyone on the server. Within the hour, every /gametime call takes the same numbers and only redraws them for the selected time zone. To include games that just started, add force_update:True.

What can go wrong

  • The “🚫 BANS” and “✅ PICKS” columns are empty. In the selected period there are no games where at least 3 players placed bans, or, with status:active, there are no such games in the “In progress” state right now. Take a longer period, for example period:all, or replace status:active with status:finished.
  • Your Duel games aren't in the nation stats. A Duel game has only 2 players, and the stats count only games where at least 3 players placed bans.
  • The bot replies “Некорректный часовой пояс. Пожалуйста, выберите из списка.” The name entered in timezone isn't among the time zones. Start typing the city in English and pick a time zone from the suggestions.
  • A game that just started isn't on the time map. The map is recalculated once an hour. Add the force_update:True option to /gametime.
